DERRY — On December 2, 2018, Brookstone Park and Event Center held their 2nd annual Holiday Fair sponsored by RAM Printing of East Hampstead to benefit the Salem Animal Rescue League. With over 35 vendors and 250 attendees, Brookstone Park was able to raise $2,111.96.
The Holiday Fair included free photos with Santa, a hot chocolate bar for guests to have their own cocoa creations, a decorate-your-own-cookie station and a toy station to keep the young attendees busy.
“We’ve been to a lot of fairs, but this is one of the best. It was brilliantly planned and had such an amazing turn out, I was able to sell almost all of my product. I can’t wait until next year!” said Jeffrey Travers, of Elen’s Candles who came from Maine.
Featured vendors offered products ranging from jewelry, candles and cosmetics, to canine care and women’s self-defense items. A raffle was also held, offering over 30 prizes, donated by local businesses.
“We came up with the idea originally to give back to the community and create a family-friendly event,” said Christie Bellany, Marketing Director of Brookstone Park, “Last year when we partnered with the Salem Animal Rescue League, we never imagined that we would be doing it again the next year and almost doubling the amount raised for them.”
“We are grateful to Brookstone Park for the effort they put in to help our cause,” said Michael Lembo from SARL, “Their facility is beautiful and the event team was really easy to work with.”
